Lots happening
Thanksgiving week starts today! We will be hosting the family at the new house this year. I'm hoping the weather is nice so we can have a bonfire. There is still much to do before the house is presentable, but I'm not going to stress about it. The most important thing will be to make the day as relaxed as possible.
Last weekend, I drove to Franklin, Tennessee. I had been invited to attend a celebration weekend for Shaohannah's Hope. For those of my readers who don't know, Shaohannah's Hope is an adoption assistance and promotion organisation founded by Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapmen. They have adopted three precious girls from China over the last few years. Shaohanna Hope is their first, followed by Stevey Joy and finally Maria Sue. You can read their whole story here.
I was able to meet and talk with Steven, Mary Beth, David Trask, Jim Chapman (MB's brother), Scott Hasenbalg, Andrea McGinniss (wife of Will from Audio Adrenaline). I also had photos taken with Mark Hall, Kirk Cameron and Geoff Moore.
Steven performed with the band his boys started - The Following. They will be his backup band for the Winter Jam tour this year. He also did a couple of songs with Geoff Moore and Mark Hall. I was doing my best to not appear to be a crazed fan. The event was supposed to be about adoption and caring for the orphan, not meeting artists and heros. I'm hoping that I did alright in that crowd.
There is much more to share about the weekend and many pictures to post. Unfortunately I just don't have the time right now to do it. Familiar story, eh? Sorry about that. I'm hoping my life slows down a bit real soon.

Still Moving
I'm constantly amazed at how much stuff we've accumulated!
We aren't done yet. Fortunately there isn't a lot of pressure to get the old house empty. I really should speed it up, though. It's costing to keep it (mortgage, utilities, etc.) Hopefully it will move quickly once we put it on the market.
I am working day shift this week, so I don't have much time for anything else. Hopefully once I get back from Franklin, TN I will be able to make a final push to move the rest of the stuff out.
Short post today. Just wanted to update a bit.
