Busy Day Off

Well, today was very busy. I took care of a few errands and sent a bill out to a customer. That cash should come in handy in a month or so when they finally pay it. That's about the time I will be going up to Allentown for DCIEast Championships. I'm definately looking forward to that trip. I hear the shows are good this year (with the exception of the amplification). I encourage everyone to get out to a show or two this summer. You won't regret supporting the kids.

Finally off work!!

I finally have a couple of days off!! YEA!!
I worked a total of 96 hours these last 8 days. Way too much! Had to cover for another guy who left our company a couple of months ago. I am so tired! Haven't had a full night's sleep in a week.
I'm looking forward to spending some time playing with the kids and having a day at the beach (don't forget the sunscreen!).

Now off to bed.

Getting practical

Why do the sticker prices for these cars have to be so high!
I really desire a new car/truck. It would be my first ever. I don't see how I can afford the monthly payment, though. I guess I'll have to save more and work harder so I can pay cash...

Maybe I'll buy this one instead!

I guess I need to make a little room for the kids when I'm driving around. Maybe the Magnum would be a better choice than the Solstice. I can get it now and the decide on the Solstice next year.

Day four of the longest week of summer...

This is the beginning of the fourth day of a very long week for me at work. 12 hours a day for 7 days with a few extra hours on Saturday. Should be a good paycheck, but I'm not sure it's worth the exhaustion. I'm not much of a family man when I'm so tired. Sure hope they bring the new guy in soon. Covering all the extra shifts is getting draining.
Need to take my daughter out to dinner tonight. Her birthday was last week and I try to go to dinner with each of the kids as near to their birthday as I can. Sometimes it doesn't happen for up to a month with my crazy schedule!

Busy Week

Wow! Two Mondays in a row! With more coming...
I've got to work 7 in a row this week. The overtime should be decent, though - more eBay time!! Yea!
I've got to schedule some time off so that I can spend some time with the kids and go to some Drum Corps shows. I hear that the Crossmen (the corps I marched in) are doing well so far. I'm looking forward to seeing them and many others.
The casualties for the year so far (among the kids): 1-split forehead requiring several stitches, 1-broken elbow (sliding into home-and the run scored!), and, just this weekend-1 broken leg. These kids sure don't bounce like they used to...

Newbie alert!

Just so everyone knows... I am a relative newbie when it comes to anything online. I will be learning as I go and will probably make lots of mistakes. I hope you will all be patient with me and enjoy the laughter at my expense. I know I will.

I am a Believer who struggles with living a life fit for an offering to the King of Kings. I'd be pleased to share with anyone the Reason I live. Don't expect great polish in the conversation, but I can promise that I will be real and honest with any who ask.
