Auburn In The NFL!

With apologies to Amy for ever thinking of losing interest in Auburn football, and for saying it on her blog (Amy, you can delete that comment!).

Here are current weeks perfomances for Auburn University football players in the NFL.
I didn't realize there were so many represented. Shows the caliber of the program in the last decade.
Auburn in the NFL

Ronnie Brown, RB - Miami Dolphins
Brown had 12 carries for 56 yards as the starting running back in the Dolphins' 22-0 loss to Cleveland. Brown also had a 2-yard reception in the loss. Miami is 3-7 this season. Brown has 731 yards on 152 carries this year.

Carnell Williams, RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams gained 116 yards and scored one touchdown on 19 carries in the Bucs' 30-27 win over Atlanta. It was the first time Williams had gained over 100 yards since rushing for a season-best 158 yards on Sept. 25 against Green Bay. It was Williams' fourth 100-yard game of his career. He has 632 yards on 152 carries this season.

Same number of carries. Looks like Ronnie Brown is having a decent season on his own (as expected). For those of you uninitiated in Tiger football, Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams played at the same time in the same backfield and were both drafted in the top 5.

Now back to the current season...

Auburn spanked 'Bama for the fourth year in a row this past Saturday! Can you imagine the pain felt by those graduating seniors at Alabama? Knowing for the rest of their lives that they didn't have what it took to win against Auburn for their entire college career!?

AR EAGLE!!
This is THE game as far as these kids are concerned. Lifetime bragging rights belong to the seniors from Auburn.

For those who want game particulars, go here. It was truly a fun game to watch for me. Although I was at work, I still was able to catch about 1/2 of the game and watched the entire 4th quarter.

Thanks Auburn, for rekindling my football fire.
*the Philadelphia Eagles sure haven't*

:-)

I'll just chalk it up as short-term insanity, Matt.

No worries :-)
