Busy day today!
Going out on our last shopping excursion this afternoon.
We have two birthday kids today! 5 and 3 years old. We will do a formal party later when there is time. They are fine with chocolate chip pancakes and a birthday cake each (that they helped to make). A couple of neighbor kids came over with presents, so there is that too.
I want to take my wife for a drive, but we can't put any presents in the trunk since there is no space, so we will take the van. Lots of room in there!
The wrapping station in the basement is in constant use these days. I'm so glad the kids are able to so their own wrapping! I've got to get over there too. Lots of presents to get looking pretty for the kids.
Our washing machine died a couple of days ago. We had been limping it along. So I had to go out and get a new one. Why do these things always break around Christmas? I found a decent one for around $400. Got it hooked up last night and it has been running ever since - literally! Amazing how quickly the loads accumulate.
My wife considers that new washer as a Christmas present. Who am I to deny that opportunity! lol! I also got her an early present of having the piano's repaired and tuned. The baby grand isn't done yet because it requires some replacement parts that will either have to be ordered or fabricated. I think that piano is over 50 years old. I asked the tuner to check on the history of it. That can be part of the present.
Time to go. I've got to finish the list of items left to buy.
